Today in the World Championship in Sochi, Russia, challenger Vishy Anand gained the edge in a typical Grunfeld endgame that arose from the Russian variation.  Magnus Carlsen held the draw, and is now just one point away from retaining his title.

The score is now 5.5-4.5 in Carlsen's favor, and the action resumes with game 11 on Sunday. Look for Leonxto Garcia's next report coming soon to CLO.
