Hikaru Nakamura is having a spectacular result so far at the Tal Memorial in Moscow. After a first round loss, he has strong together four wins interrupted by a lone draw.

He is in the clear lead, half a point ahead of Gelfand and a full point ahead of Carlsen, who he faces in round  8 on June 22.

In anticipation of the World Championship match coming to Chennai, India this fall, all eyes were on yesterday's Carlsen-Anand battle.

Carlsen will make his first appearance in a major US tournament at the Sinquefield Cup from September 9-15.
