AQueenWithin400.jpgChristie's New York is hosting a preview of the Queen Within a show on chess, fashion and archetypes coming to the World Chess Hall of Fame this fall. The exhibit is already generating great press, including pieces in Women's Wear Daily and New York Magazine. Show curator Sofia Hedman said, "Each [chess] piece can be seen as having different personalities, and the exhibition investigates (nine) archetypes of the queen.”

In a similar theme from a totally different perspective, Wired ran a piece today on hackers who made significant progress on the famous eight queens problem.
Find more information on the Queen Within on the World Chess Hall of Fame website , and look for an upcoming post by CLO editor Jen Shahade, who is also on the board of the WCHOF.
