The Chicago Open (May 23-27) drew over 20 GMs including Aleksandr Lenderman and Victor Mikhalevski, who lead with 4.5 after five rounds. Many other big names are participating including Conrad Holt, hot off his US Championship performance, reigning Women's champ Irina Krush and ten-year-old master Awonder Liang.
