GM and Webster student Fidel Corrales Jiminez and IM and author Daniel Naroditsky tied for first at this year's Philadelphia Open. The co-champs took home over $4500 each in prize money while Naroditsky also picked up a GM norm. 

The US Chess Scoop also caught up with the youngest chess master in USCF history, 9-year-old ("pretty close to ten") Awonder Liang while WGM Tatev Abrahamyan talked about preparing for the US Women's Championship.

IM norms were scored by FM Adarsh Jayakumar, FM Jeffery Xiong, FM Arthur Shen and Adithya Balasubramanian.
