DarrianColumbia.jpgThe US Chess Scoop interviewed players and coaches at the Pan-American Championships held from Dec 27-30 in Princeton, New Jersey. Five teams tied for first, in tiebreak order: University of Texas Dallas A, Webster B, UMBC, Webster A & University of Illinois A.

The video features super-coaches GMs Yasser Seirawan of Lindenwood University and Alexander Onischuk of Texas Tech, GM Ray Robson of Webster, GM Elshan Moradiabadi, FM Eric Rosen of the University of Illinois and Al Lawrence, program director at Texas Tech. Finally, Darrian Robinson explains how chess helped her get into the University of Chicago.
