IrinaWorldWomens.jpg Reigning US Women's Champion IM Irina Krush is on a four-game winning streak at the World Women's Chess Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. After a first round loss to GM Pia Cramling in match two, Irina won game two against Cramling to advance the match to tiebreak. Then she won the rapid tiebreak 2-0.

In the same tiebreak round, the other remaining American player, Anna Zatonskih, was eliminated.

With just sixteen players remaining, Irina won round one of match three vs. Qian Huang.
