Victor Shen was the clear victor at the 2012 Liberty Bell Open, held over Martin Luther King Day weekend in Philadelphia. The Columbia University freshman scored 6/7 and earned over $2200. The US Chess Scoop talked to Victor, organizer Steve Immitt and a Philadelphia-area scholastic player,  Vanita Young.
