On June 16, the
GM Aleksander Lenderman won clear first at the National Open in Las Vegas with 5.5/6, earning $6400. He talked to CLO about his future plans and his new attitude toward fighting chess.
Legendary Russian World Champion GM Anatoly Karpov was warmly received at the National Open. He also met with USCF President Ruth Haring on promoting chess and the state of FIDE.
