David retired as Research & Information Director of The Newspaper Guild in 1996. Dave's impressive list of chess accomplishments includes winning several USCF Absolute Championships. Dave also participated on a high board in a number of important international events (third board, X-Olympiad; first board, Pacific-Atlantic Team Tournament III) and finished third in the First Anglo-Pacific Tournament Bureau Championship.
