Hugo Javier Concha

HUGO JAVIER CONCHA was born on June 30,1958, near the famous Inca City of Machu Picchu, Peru. He came to the United States in 1967, and grew up in the "City That Doesn't Sleep", New York City. During the famous chess year of 1972, Hugo learned how to play chess from his Dad, Victor Hugo Concha, who was once a Peruvian Chess Champion. Thanks to him, Hugo loves chess and has dedicated a significant portion of his life to correspondence chess and promoting chess. Hugo Javier Concha

In 1988, he received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law, in N.Y.C. Hugo is a personable and very successful trial lawyer in New York, New Jersey and Florida, who loves careful but complicated strategy in the courtroom as much as he loves it on the chessboard.

Hugo, without hesitation, proudly and lovingly always considers his sweet wife, and his incredible daughter his greatest accomplishments ever! He loves any and all sorts of healthy competative challenges. Hugo truly believes that where there's a will, there's a way, and that Champions never give up on their goals.
