USCF is sponsoring correspondence chess Quads/Matches on CompuServe, a national electronic bulletin board service. These four-player round-robin events/matches require only a computer and a modem. Class level pairings. CompuServe is very similar to chess by mail, with one major difference; because the moves are transmitted electronically, the games finish much more quickly.

Winners of players Quad receive a free one-year USCF membership extension. (if not applicable (i.e. Life Members), then winners receive a $40 credit towards USCF merchandise or CC entries.)

Anyone wishing to participate in one of the CompuServe Quads should send a $10 entry fee to the USCF office. USCF membership is required and you must subscribe to CompuServe. The event is rated by USCF. Player assignments are posted in "11. USCF Q&A" on CompuServe (not sent by mail). For more information on subscribing to CompuServe, call 1-800-848-8990.
